Driving range

With 27 covered practise bays and landscaped greens and targets, the driving range at North Gailes is immensely popular. Great care is taken to ensure the quality of range balls and grass-feel mats meets the high standards our regulars expect, ensuring the most realistic practice conditions in which to improve. The range enjoys state-of-the-art floodlighting and power tees. No booking is necessary for the driving range.

Short game zone

At North Gailes we’ve created a specialist short game zone which gives players the choice either to punch, lob and wedge to targets down the range or to chip and run to a dedicated green behind the range. We also have a bunker zone for further practice.

This great facility is available at any time to our members and for non-members when having individual or group short-game coaching or on a pay-per-use basis. Combined with our new practice putting green, this area is the perfect short-game complement to our range facility.

North Gailes Golf Course

Our traditional 9 hole, par 33 course is a fun and well-kept parkland course. Members and visitors can elect to play 9 or 18 holes.  The golf club has an intimate and thriving members section, with members entitled to use of our health and fitness facilities.  Although bookings are not always essential for North Gailes golf course, reservations are advised, especially for larger groups.

Target Practice Course (TPC)

The 7 hole layout of the TPC can be used in one of three ways: as a short game practice facility; as a simple par 3 course in the traditional manner; or as an entirely new ‘game within the game’ via target zones on the greens and an innovative scoring system. This last option aims to bring “game-play” to the golf course.

Players of any ability will be able to pick their target level and either score (or be penalised!) accordingly. In many ways, the idea brings the competitive scoring of the video game world to the great outdoors, giving children and adults alike the chance to compete on an even footing. It’s entertaining, it’s different and after your first attempt, you’ll find the scoring system easy and fun.

Fees & booking enquiries

For North Gailes golf course, although bookings are not always essential, reservations are advised, especially for larger groups.Fees for the 9 hole course are £12 at weekends and bank holidays and £10 at all other times. Fees for the TPC are £6 per player and free to combi members.
